1. Data Collection
I Ching & Flying Stars collects information needed to establish, secure, and maintain your account, including your email address, contact number, encrypted authentication credentials, login and device information, subscription status, uploaded platform content, and your communication preferences. We do not store your full payment-card details. Payment information is handled by Stripe under its own privacy and PCI-DSS obligations.
2. Data Security
User profiles, session logs, and platform input data are maintained in access-controlled environments. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We do not sell or rent personal information, or disclose it to third parties for their independent marketing.
3. Service Communications & Session Monitoring
We send service-related, transactional, and security communications necessary to operate your account, including billing notices, subscription reminders, password resets, and security alerts. These are separate from optional promotional emails. We also process session identifiers, device information, and login patterns to detect unauthorized account sharing, prevent fraud, and maintain platform security.
4. Optional Promotional Emails
If you actively select the optional checkbox during registration, we may email you occasional product news, offers, launch announcements, and educational content. Leaving it unchecked does not affect account creation or access. We record your choice, its date, source, and the applicable policy version. You may withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in a promotional email or by contacting support. Withdrawal applies to future promotional messages and does not stop essential service communications.
5. Service Providers & International Processing
We may use vetted service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, payments, security, analytics, and email delivery. They may process information outside Singapore solely to provide services to us and under contractual or legal safeguards designed to provide protection comparable to applicable Singapore requirements.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only while it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here, to provide your account, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. When it is no longer required, we delete it or make it anonymous, subject to backup and legal-retention cycles.
7. Your Choices & Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw consent, ask about how it has been used or disclosed, or request account deletion. 8. Policy Updates
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent platform notice, and the effective date above will be revised.
